Investor outreach for startups

Funds that back your stage and sector

To find investors for your round, we start with the pool: funds that closed deals in your sector. We write to each one with a reason and carry it to a conversation.

PropTech, funding round

Three deals out of 120 selected investors

A large PropTech company building digital products for the real estate market was preparing to raise for product scaling, new markets and hiring.

The goal and what we did

Demonstrate the business model, the technology and the growth potential

  • Researched the PropTech market and assembled the pool: venture and corporate funds, strategic partners
  • Collected and verified contacts of fund partners and investment directors
  • Wrote scripts built around the company advantages, market trends and sector growth forecasts

How the funnel came together, step by step:

  • 20% responded, 50 investors in conversation
  • 10 offers on the table, 3 deals closed
  • Separately: a meeting with the leadership of a key MENA region about deploying PropTech across large development projects

The same breakdown on your round takes forty minutes

Who we fit and who we do not

A fit if

  • The metrics already exist
  • Deck and model are ready
  • The founder takes the meetings

Not a fit if

  • An idea with no numbers
  • You need money this month
  • You want a guaranteed deal

Questions people ask before starting

Do you guarantee the money?

No, and nobody honest does. We answer for the pool, the contacts and the flow of conversations with people who look at your stage. After that it is the fund and your numbers.

We already know the funds we need

You probably know twenty. Three deals take about a hundred, and half of them are the ones nobody thinks of: corporate funds and strategics from an adjacent sector.

Does anyone read a cold email to a fund?

They do, if the first two lines carry numbers rather than a mission statement. And they read far more willingly when it is an introduction through their own portfolio company, which is why we map portfolios separately.

What do you need from us?

A current deck, model and metrics, plus the founder in the meetings. Without the first there is nothing to write, without the second there is nobody to talk to.
